2025 TROPHY WINNER
Ian Cracknell

When we first awarded The Ken Watman Trophy, we all agreed that the people that organised the show would not be in the running for the award as the volunteers that step up to help would be far more deserving than the organisers.

However, this year is an exception.  Ian Cracknell, who has not only been instrumental in the the running of the Car Show for the last 10 years, he is a club legend who helps at every social event.  Without Ian's help the Beer Bands & BBQ festival and the Car Boot Sales every other Sunday throughout the summer would be an uphill struggle .  He is also the Amenities Chairman for the Rugby Club which is a job all on it's own!

Ian, an ex-1st team player (from the 1950's, I think!) is a stalwart for the club, always on hand to help out where needed.  A good friend to everyone and an example of what we should all be striving to be as club members.  Ian had a nasty accident in the summer which put him out of action for a few weeks.  This brought his efforts and hard work sharply into focus when he wasn't available to help at these events.

He was a bit surprised when we awarded him with this honour, but like those who have gone before him, it's well deserved.
